A shout out to my 2020 brides
Wishing you all the luck in the world that your plans go ahead in a shape that roughly resembles what your dreamed you’d have as your big day. This last year has been so hard for the gorgeous couples who wanted to tie the not and get married. Most of my brides and grooms decided to postpone to this year and then changed their mind to get married at Christmas (with limited numbers). Others decided to have a baby first and marry later which I thought was a wonderful idea! But for those of you that have decided to hold off until there is a brighter plan for more people to attend I salute you! I am getting those orders coming in now and for larger numbers of invitations. There is of course no certainty but I love the optimism and forward planning. There are many ways you can proceed with your wedding:
(1) Leave off the date on the invitation and slip a card in when you’ve made up your mind
(2) Send out all the invitations to everyone and include a card which states that things may change and you may have to select very close family (but this way they know they were wanted)
(3) and this is my favourite; print a smaller number of main invitations, a larger number of zoom invitations which are sent with the service booklets for those guests to follow along the televised ceremony. It feels good to cover all grounds!
